Dear Students.
From Thursday 14th April 2022, students of the Wroclaw Medical University can submit their candidates in the Didactics in the Shadow of the Pandemic competition. The competition aims to reward outstanding academic teachers.
The last two years of working, learning, and just living have been challenging for all of us. The difficult time of implementing remote and hybrid teaching is behind us. Direct contact - crucial for acquiring practical skills and preparing for work in health care - was very difficult, sometimes even impossible. It was a time of exceptional challenges for all of us. This is why we want to acknowledge the commitment and determination of those academic teachers who, despite the difficulties, doubled their efforts and did their best to share their knowledge with students of Wroclaw Medical University. You can express your appreciation for an academic teacher by nominating them in the Didactics in the Shadow of the Pandemic competition. Below we present the rules of the competition.
The competition has two stages - in the first stage we submit the candidates, and in the second - we vote.
Competition participants
The participant in the competition is an academic teacher from the Wroclaw Medical University who meets the following criteria:
a) is employed on the basis of an employment contract or appointment as of the date of the competition announcement,
b) obtained a positive result in the last periodical evaluation of academic teachers,
c) has been nominated by at least one student,
d) agreed to participate in the competition.
How to properly nominate your candidate? - The first step
Applications can be submitted by completing the application form,which can be found HERE after logging into the Office365 account in the University’s domain. To submit a candidate’s application, go to the website: https://www.office.com/ and log in to your account: name.surname@365.student.umw.edu.pl.
The candidate's application for the award should include:
a.name and surname of the Candidate,
b. candidate's e-mail address downloaded from the address book from the University's website,
c. name of the course(s) conducted by the Candidate,
d. a short explanation for the selection of the proposed Candidate,
e. name and surname as well as year and faculty of study of the student who voted.
Applications not containing all of the above-mentioned elements will be rejected.
Each student can send an application once. In one application form you can nominate at least one and at most three candidates.
Nominations for the award will be accepted to 23rd April 2022; until 23:59.
The list of nominated Competition Participants will be published by 5th May 2022.
How to vote for your Candidate? - the second stage
Voting (based on the published list of Participants) will be done from 5th May 2022 to 14th May 2022; until 23:59, by filling in the form available on the University's website in the News tab. You will be able to cast your vote after logging in to the Office365 account in the University's domain: name.lastname@365.student.umw.edu.pl.
1) Each student can submit one vote.
2) A correctly cast vote includes:
a. name and surname of the Participant from the list,
b. Participant's e-mail address downloaded from the address book from the University's website,
c. name, surname, study year and faculty of study of the student who voted.
Awards
The winners of the Competition will receive honorary diplomas and one-time cash prizes amounting to PLN 8,300 gross.
The laureates of the competition will be selected and the results will be announced by 19th May 2022.
