Behave in the library - info for students.

Dear students,
we would like to remind you that :

1. Library users are expected to behave with propriety, comply with general codes of conduct pertaining to public spaces and with order regulations.

2. Library users are expected to take utmost care of all library furniture and materials provided for them in the library.

3. Library users shall leave coats, bags, backpacks, umbrellas etc. in the cloakroom or lockers on the ground floor. Library staff can refuse entry into the library to anyone who does not comply with this rule.

4. Library users shall not bring any food or drinks into the library, except for water in clear bottles.

5. Library users are not permitted to bring any animals with them into the library, except for service animals to accompany people with disabilities.

6. Library users are expected to stay perfectly quiet in Silent Study Zone, Special Collections reading room and the individual study rooms.

7. Library users shall refrain from moving any library furniture or equipment.

8. It is forbidden to unplug library computers or remove any part of library IT equipment (mouse, keyboard etc.) and plug in users’ own equipment into the network.

9. Library users shall put library items from the collection on the designated library trolleys or return them to a librarian on duty after use.

10. If a library user sets off an alarm signal in the RFID security gates, library staff have the right to control the materials, items and equipment that that the library user is taking out of the library.

11. The library shall not be liable for any loss or damage to users’ personal property left unattended.
