Dear Students of Wroclaw Medical University,

the academic year that has just begun poses massive challenges for us. They concern not only the organisation of teaching itself but, most importantly, the safety of students and employees of our University. We have introduced procedures and protective measures but the epidemic cannot be contained without the involvement of all of us. Every day, we receive information about further infection cases at the university and reports about the growing number of infection cases on a national scale.

We call for special responsibility from all of you – it is the future representatives of medical professions that should be the first to set an example of proper behaviour in this difficult period. Please follow sanitary and epidemiological recommendations, wear face masks, avoid gatherings, and keep your distance from others. We are very well aware that academic life means not only learning, that you need to have contact with your friends, but the situation forces us to be careful. Give an example of responsible behaviour to others. We shoulder the duty to take care of not only our own lives and health but also the lives and health of the people surrounding us.
